It's a sad day for the Cute Community to have two such generous and talented members at odds over a digitizing technique...but, just for information and my two cents, both the Janome MB3 and MBX software have a similar stitch feature that create a similar type of open density effect and the center of the design can be moved to further enhance the effect...it all comes down to how each digitizer chooses to apply the feature and manipulate the stitch patterns...given the same image, each digitizer would produce a different looking design...no matter what you call it...contoured swirls, optical, ripple...it's a technique of the software...The creative magic to the design is in how each digitizer chooses to apply it, creating their own unique finished design. Hoping for mended fences...

Thank you for putting it in to perspective. I think this accusation was very mean spirited.

Interesting its a feature of another software too. I agree with your perspective. I like both of their designs and hate seeing all this uproar.

Well said thank you. I have not been able to sleep from the upset. Hopefully Angelbaby will now realise that nothing was meant by a simple question.
Are we also not here to help each other?

My PE-design program has these fill stitches:
Concentric circle; Radial and Spiral.
I have digitized them on a lot of my own designs and also used them for my quilt lables and lettering.

I agree both are very talented designers! But I think the post Diana(Angelbaby) meant was not something about Basketcases designs
but about the suggestion to replicate artwork.(see post of the link) And we all know it's not allowed, to do that.
But I do hope everything will come allright. And my compliments to all designers.

by the way : even if someone has the tools, it will not mean we can use them right.
If you have paint and pencil it will not mean you are a painter artist.
And if I have a piano it does not mean I know how to play.
Or if I have skates it does
not mean I know how to skate. So even with the perfect tools you do need the talent to use them right. And these designers know how to use them . Hugs for you all.

The offending suggestion was removed my MS. Veronica I believe. It is not longer there.

I agree and hope things will right themselves. I see it as a technique of the software and how the digitizer uses it is always unique to them. They both create awesome designs.

The artist is where the beauty is made. Anyone can have the software but the talent is in how the digitizer-artist makes it their own.
