I guess today is a day to share wedding anniversaries. It was 48 years ago today that I married my husband...and we were told it would not last.

Happy 48th Anniversary Beth - isn't that funny when people say that about a wedding - that it will not last? Hehehe! Maybe that is why it did - because you two were stubburn enough to prove them wrong. Hehehe! I hope the two of you do something wonderful today and enjoy yourselves.

Thank you all for the responses - we did not do much yesterday, and are waiting for the weekend. Having to work on the anniversary cuts into the shared time we can have. Now, if we make it as long as my parents...I was told that they were married for a lifetime of many people...Nearly 77 years.

I love it when after all these years we are celebrating what "wouldn't last". Celebrate the REAL LOVE THAT LASTS! I wonder how many of us were told that!
