It is cut in pannels 8 of them narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, I took apart a skirt I bought and liked the way it fit. Also each pannel has been top stitched with the same color as the fabric.

It has 8 sections but it is circular. has a machine hem sometimes I do this with the hem stitch.
