Need some help? Going to make some curtains and I don’t know which way to put the lines. Taking a vote and want to know which one would you do? Left or Right. Thanks for the help. DeVon

Thanks I think that is what I want. But at work on the furniture everyone want lines going side to side???? Don't know why. Thanks

I don't know why either... but your right couch and chair covers always run across sheets run up and down and cutains also run yup and down. thats funny when you stop and think about it... Good luck with your curtains and the material is beautiful...

As the Warp thread is the stronger it is better to have the design going up and down as in the left picture. The Weft thread goes from left to right as in the second picture. So by rights having the design VERTICAL is by far the best way to do the curtains. Good luck with it DeVon, love and blessings Chris

definitely left(vertical); the other could be used for an awning or topper...

I always sew curtains lengthwise, they hang and drape much better that way.

I keep thinking... we were taught when wearing stripes to only wear them verticle or they make you look fat. Your windows will look fat if you put them horrisontal. xx

Vertical is best but you could temp them up both ways and see what is more pleasing to you.
