Bali Basket, made from cotton clothes line covered with 2 1/2 inch strips of material which formed coils as as its contructed, would make wonderful bowls, cat baskets etc.

Very nice job - my Mother used to make lovely rugs with her - years and years and years ago.

It's lovely. I've seen those in the past, but don't remember how you are supposed to stitch them together.

You cover the clothes line by sitting it in the middle of the material and then folding the material over, just like bias binding. you then coil it sewing with a wide zig zag stitch at the same time until you have the size you require.

I made one similar to this, but with a little hook shape on the top. My daughter could put her yarn in the basket and draw it out through the hook without having her yarn balls go all across the floor. Yours is much more beautiful than anything I've done. love those colors!!
