Is there anyone out there with a Janome 11000? Can you tell me how you like it & what is the best thing about it?

I have the 10001 but it is 11 yrs old & it is showing some wear & tear! I have heard recently that the 11000 is problematic that's why they made the Special Edition ?Sorry to hear about it but I appreciate the warning!

Got my 11000 back from the dealer today. I hope he has fixed the tension problems, or I will be the one with the tension problems.

I have a Janome 11000 also and it is the best machine I have had. I did have a Janome 10001 it was also a very good machine, but the 11000 has many more very good features. Being able to have much bigger hoops is such a great benefit to do so many more designs, in the hoop projects as well. Also you can wind the bobbin while the machine is sewing is also very handy.
The sewing area is also larger which is great if you are making larger projects like quilts etc.
Being able to use a USB ,CD or direct from the Computer covers all the areas you could possible what. Good Luck hope this has helped.

Here's what I wrote on the other post.

Hi Loralye, I have the Janome 11000SE and I totally love it. I have had it for a little over 2 yrs now. I think it is very user friendly. Love the big hoop. The MA hoop is fun, you can add several designs to make a large design, no re-hooping. I love the built in quilting designs and the quilting hoop. I have used Metro, Robison Anton and Isacord thread with no problems. There are so many features on this machine, I could write a whole page on it. There is nothing I do not like. Hugs..Carol
