Using Embird Studio, What settings do you use for the satin stitch around most appliques? I just can't seem to get it right.
Thank You

The thing to do is keep notes. Try a simple straight line, use diff colours for each and try a few diff setting.
Also try your diff widths, also with diff colours chosen. Then on this one stitch out you will have some lovely comparisons.
I like mine to to be maybe on a less dense scale ,I think as long as the fabric wont fray through, almost like I would choose to do if I had sewn it with the sewing machine.
Happy Digitizing!

Like Bev, I prefer a less dense outline than many commercial designs - but I'm just a beginner so I'm willing to learn!

We are all learning, I'm also a beginner.

I use the default density for satin stitch or a bit less dense, and the width varies a bit with the size of the design, 2.5 - 3.5 mm.

Sorry I did not see this earlier, but embroidery questions seem to get lost between all the non-embroidery ones.

Thank You, I tried the 3, but would like it a little wider. I will increase it a little more next time.

For me, a minimum of 3 mm.

Oh, more detail? I like to have a good underlay of edge and zigzag stitches, density I usually use 4.0 and often increase pull comp to 2. This is just general, not written in stone. :-)
As usual, Thank you ladies for all the info you share.
