Easiest way for me is through portfolio. You can change from most any format to art through there and make up file folders to keep you designs in. There is a good explanation for it in bernina manual or on line with pictures to walk you through it. It would be confusing to try to tell you without the pics as helpful hints...good luck..Vicki

Vicki, Please tell us more about portfolio. I got a new computer and haven't put Wilcom on in yet. Is this Bernina software?

Wilcom will not convert to ART. I have a Bernina 640. I use Wilcom to convert to EXP and my regular Artlink software to convert that to ART.

ART has been very well protected by Bernina! Most software (including Wilcom) will covert FROM ART to other formats, but only Bernina's software will covert TO ART. Linda

You can open most formats in your Bernina software then save as to get it to art format too. (the one I found I can't open is jef format)

You are so right, jef is the elusive format in Bernina.....

For those of you who do not have Bernina software there is a free program at http://www.berninausa.com called Artlink which can open several formats and save to several formats. Try it you will like it and the price is right.

I read your answer, went and downloaded it, but although it reads the designs I tried out, it does not convert - I get the message: this is not a grade A or B ART-file, please convert to non-ART formats. A pity!
