Question of the day: Do you have anything made up ahead of time? I mean like a supply of go to gifts? If you do what are they? What kind of things do you try to have on hand?

Always mean to.... but can't get caught up enough to.
I think I would make bookmarkers, guest towels, etc.
I did my last craft show last Nov. and have some baby bibs left (in case I need a quick baby gift.)

I usually have things that have not sold at a shop...rarely sell anything. If I need something quick & don't have it, I run over to get something in the shop! Since I like to personalize things, I don't keep a stock of things on hand.

I guess that's something to think about too

I usually have lots of baby items, bibs, quilts, burpcloths. There's always someone having a baby. I also have handtowels. I always have someone calling to see if I have anything on hand they can buy for a gift.

Sure I do. I have an inventory FSL items - which would be what I would be giving to most of the people that I give gifts (bookmarks, doilies, angels, ornaments & more - Hehehe! However, I also have flour sack tea-towels for the kitchen, finger tip velour towels for the kitchen and bath, tee-shirts and all occasion greeting cards.

I usually have some items left that did not sell at the craft market, and then I quickly run to my carboot to get something from there. It always stays in the packaged cases, because I have a back problem as well, and cannot lift the heavy stuff in and out all the time. Just add or take out, as needed. ****

I like to have tea-towels done to match candle scents I have purchased from Bath & Body. Good for all seasons and sexes.

No stock, Only plenty of ideas. I also think it is difficult, 'cos if I sew a gift for someone I like to take into consideration their prefernces (color, fav animal, pratical thing-lover, modern-lover,...)

Don't have anything made up ahead of time, but I have a very large closet full of blanks so I usually can whip something out in a hurry.;)

I have teen daughters very active in sports most of my stash as they call it, are hand towels, stocking hats or fleece blankets with sport or school emblems on. Easy for them to grab a gift for friends of either sex.

ok this is what I have learned: Make kitchen towels & potholders to match as these can be for either man or woman, baby items are always a good idea to have on hand & Towels should be on hand but not done in advance because this way you can personalize them! with mono-grams or to match their colors!FSL items like angels & bookmarks are good to have on hand too!Well I like this & have learned alot thank you ladies for educating me again! I think that I will have to focus on creating a surplus for when the need arises!

Good question! I don't have anything made up ahead of time. I usually have to wait for some kind of inspriation. Wish I did have things made up. Hugs & Flowers Liz

I have a lot of zippered bags made up and I also keep a box where I throw all of my extra experiments and duplicates of things I have made. It adds up so I can say i have something for almost everyone. fsl, pincushions, scissor holders and just a mix of things.

I have these also. They keep hanging around though. They never seem to suit the situation.
My sister usually comes by and makes her selection. She is not a crafter. Most everything I make I give away so I just make more, more, more
