Owl Bags. My daughter went to a purse party the other night and bought this little coin purse (gray far left). She paid 14.00 for it and the quality is terrible. I decided I could make something like it so I digitized the owl face and made the green bag. I embroidered the face (on the big machine), and then went to the sewing machine to add the zipper and make the bag. Then I decided to try digitizing the entire bag to be done ITH...and the cream one is the finished product. It's fully lined with fusible batting between the fabric layers.
My busy season for shows start for me March 17, so I have to get busy and get a few done.

First I thought it is a design from embroiderygarden (they have some owl-bags). I have to admit that I'm jealous that you can do something nice like those cute owls just during an evening. The buttons on the bought owl may look cute now but it's the question how long they stay when you have your purse in your bag (or in my case in a big backpack) with all the other stuff in there ;o)

I tried one with the button eyes, but I didn't like the look. I like the stitched ones better.
If you make stuff for kids you learn to avoid using buttons ;o) Like the stitched one better too.

OMGosh! I can't believe $14 for that!!!! For that much money you would think they would be something like yours.... yours are beautiful! I would pay $14 for yours, not the other guys!
