I am so thrilled for you to be enjoying your new granddaughter and your daughter Rosemary will have my prayers to be blesses with a healthy, happy baby as soon as possible.

I had a cousin (by marriage) named Rosmary, who tried for ten years and finally decided to adopt. Within weeks of getting their adopted daughter she fell pregnant and had twins, a boy and girl.
She had loved and wanted kiddies so much, she had even bought a nursery school for under fives, needless to say she sold the school once she had three of her own children, under 2, to care for.
I heard several years later that she also had another set of twins a couple of years after the first set. :-)

Megs example is like that of my sister: They tried to get a baby for 12years and after they adopted Hannah she was a year later pregnant and Paula was born in the Millenium-year :o)

I know a couple who had been waiting for 9 years. and tried different things. At last they adopted a young girl and within 3 month she got pregnant and now they have two lovely daughters.So never give up hope. Prayers for them.

I have a dear friend married for quite some years and couldn't get pregnant. She adopted 2 children and a year or so later she got pregnant and now has my godson who it 12 years old. It can happen so don't give up hope. Sending prayers to her..

My husband and myself had a real battle to have children. We were both at fault and he had to undergo all that degrading (I think for men it is even worse than for woman) testing. In the end I had an operation to correct the tubes and retilt the womb and we were told that nothing else was going to be of help. We then decided to adopt, but went on holiday and ...... lo and behold.... our prayers were answered, when we came home, I was pregnant. so : God willing, your daughter's prayers will also be answered, just like ours were. I had two daughters, who now both died in a freak accident where we also lost our son in law and the future son in law. But we were blessed with them. Prayers go up for you and your family.*****

I also went through all the treatments and it is no fun!!!! In the end we adopted 3 children and although we had some very dificult times ( and still do every now and then ) we are now seeing the results in the next generation. Wish your daughter all the luck but also encourage her to look at other ways to find her happiness.

Christine your post bought a lump to my throat. My daughter had 9 IVF treatments and eventually had twins who are now 3 years old. They had their names down for adoption but cancelled it when they found out they were expecting twins. I wish your daughter well and I know how hard it is when our daughters long for a baby. It is so hard when you want so much to be pregnant and everyone around you seems to be. My two daughters both inherited a condition from me that is going to make it difficult to conceive. What guilt!! But, I had them with the help of fertility drugs, and many years. Hang in there.
