Man I am stuck in limbo because stupid me busted my scan card reader sew now I must wait patiently for a new one! In the meantime I am wondering if anyone has had this problem before & if there is a better way to transfer your designs from pc to machine?

I never put my designs directly onto my machine, I upload them onto a USB stick and then use that for my designs.

Both of my machines has only the card, so I must have a Reader/Writer for each of them. The Brother has a wire that I can hook to my computer, but with 7 sewing machine, 4 sewing tables, and a few stacks of material, there is no room for a computer too. Hahaha!!! Hugs, Judy

Loralye, if you can use a USB stick on your machine, get some. It is so much faster and easier. When I had my MC9500 I had to use the card reader, no choice. With the MC11000SE I can use card reader, cd, pc directly to machine and USB stick. I use the sticks all the time, haven't used my card reader since I got the MC11000SE. It's sitting in a special "retired" drawer. Good luck. Hugs..Carol

I bought my adapter in the camera shop. The one I use for my 300E is just like the old camera flash cards. You can also pick them up on Ebay pretty cheap.

I bought an adapter card trough the internet last week. I now transfer the designs onto a sd or micro card by copying the embroidery files via windows explored to the card. The sd then just slots it into the card adapter which can remain in the machine. No need for a reader anymore.
