What size quilt for a three yr old?

I have only done baby size and twin bed size or bigger.
I have some lovely designs embroided, that would suit for the bigger/older child, but would like the child to still carry and cuddle with it.And not too small that the feet will not be covered.
Anyone have a handy 3yr old to measure?
Thank you.

We still need about 10-20 small 2 layer quilts for boys ages 2-10, not too big, in the size range of about 42 inches by 48 inches. Made mostly of cotton.

We have an ikea toddler bed in our spare bedroom. It is 24 " wide by 63" long. My 4 year old gs sleeps in it and has for about 2 years.

That's great!
Could you possibly measure your GS. I have a limit of fabric for this quilt and don't want to go the whole bed size. But also Don't want to go that bit short, where a little border can make a diff. What will cover his shoulders and also his feet?
I would appreciate it so much.

perhaps half the size you would use for a single bed would be just it ? small enough to schlepp around and big enough to show no feet.
