I have learnt a couple of things in the last few days. I have just finished my Ugandan Quilt (posted in projects). It is the first quilt I have ever made. Not satisfied to just have blocks, I decided to make a pattern. I have learnt NEVER to use gingham in a quilt again as it shows every imperfection in sewing and also only buy material that is the same thickness and weight - but you ladies know all that. Cutting was a bit of a pain as I do not have a rotary cutter and trying to get everything 'square' was not easy but I enjoyed every second. I am sure that I will make others in the future. Hugs Sarah
Been there and done that! And never learnt my lessons well. It just gets more complicated after that. You need to try some (100)flying geese..LOL
You have been bitten by the quilting BUG!!
Happy Quilting.
Hugs Bev
is a must for most of us and this second quilt I actually cut each square individually to increase accuracy. Also, 1st one I sewed my x's by eye but on the 2nd I marked with a ruler for accuracy. Maybe if I make more I'll get better LOL
