Mine is Wilcom\TrueSizer_e2.0; and it has been pretty good about most things except ART, which I use Bernina ArtLink

Thanks very much. I've opened up the page in Google and there are quite a few to choose from. I was not sure of which one to select. Love Chris

Is there more than one that is free? Or are you paying for it?

In my Wilcom I go to the top left and click on "files", it's a pull down menu. Click "open".
A box will pop up in the middle of the screen. Go to the bottom where it says "Files of Type" use that pull down menu to pick "All Files". If you don't pick all files then only the type that you picked will show up. (In Pulse this means that if you picked pes 4.0 then pes 5.6 files won't come up. I'm not sure if it works the same here.)
The middle of the box should have your files or file folders, if not, go to the "Look in" pull down menu at the top of the box to locate your file.
1 click on a design will show the picture in a corner. A double click will open it. It may then show a warning about sizing limitations. Close that warning.
Now go to the "File" pull down menu again at the top left. Go to "Save as". The box will open in the middle of the screen again and you go to the bottom pull down menu that says "Save as type". Pick and click on your desired format. You can change the file name if you need to at this point too. Then click "Save". It will save in the place you have the box set to (probably where the original file is saved) but you can save to a different destination by changing the location at the top of the box before you click save.
I'm doing this with pes as I write and now a box comes up that lets me choose my hoop size. I have a small design so I use the 100x100 and click "OK".
If this doesn't work and it's still not compatible you might have some very new files that have high versions of pes. I believe they go up to pes 9.0 now. You probably need one of the newest conversion softwares to open the higher versions of pes but I'm not sure. My BrotherULT2003D takes pes 5.6.

I realize that I have a newer version of wilcom on my other computer but I think it works very similar to the old one. I can check tomorrow.

Thanks so much Sewmon, once more to the rescue. Well, what you have written was what I was doing and I still couldn't open up the pes files, so I think you are right it must be something to do with the newest version. Love Chris

You will always get the message not native mode. that is OK! If you have a format like ART which is not supported then you need to get tajima pulse ambassador. I use the open icon just under "file" on the menu bar, and scroll down to my type or scroll up to all files! Then when I am done doing I use file then save as and again hit the arrow next to file type and scroll to my selection.

This link goes to the post with links to Bernina, Wilcom Truesizer, and Tajima Pulse. Try one of these other free programs. I would think that one of them should open the newer versions.

I just tried to convert the pes Marguerite alpha because it's higher than version 5.6. My older Pulse Ambassador said it had no stitches or may be corrupt. So I tried the Wilcom Truesizer and it worked. I'm thinking the alphabet is a very high pes version. That's the first time that happened to me. Pulse has always worked before.
