I see lots of designs for St. Pats day. Has anyone seen any designs for St. Uhro's day for us Finnish folks? I usually just wear a small purple ribbon. It would be cute to find some embroidery designs.

That should have been "St Urho's Day". My fingers went faster than my brain.

Fascinating to learn it's an American invention and a rather recent one at that (1956) as opposed to St. Patrick's day that was first celebrated in Ireland in 1783.

My family is Full Blooded Finnish, so we wear Purple on St Urho's day. My daughter works at a wonderful store called the Finland House, so she will also wear purple. It would just be nice to be able to find some designs. I think I'm going to try and digitize the grasshopper that I have on a button, but I'm not sure how it will turn out...lol
