For me it would have to be my Elvis quilt, because it has made my husband sew happy. After that I beleive my Eye Spy quilt because of what it represents then & now! Hugs Loralye

Mine would be my native america quilt. It is so bright and I love the story behind it. (creation story)

No doubt, it has to be the Uganda quilt, it is the first and maybe only quilt I have ever done, and I am humbled by the experience.....I am proud to have been a part of something so special...Vicki

Mine would have to be a pale green and white scrap quilt that I made for myself. When my Mum saw it, she just fell in love with it, so I gave it to her and 10 years later she still loves it and tells everybody how beautiful it is and how happy it makes her :)

I made new cushions and back for the loveseat and chairs for our Senior center. I can post a picture if anyone would like to see them they turned out great a lot of work but well worth the task.

It is a toss up between designing and making 75 square dancing dresses for my club, seven years of song leader dresses for a local high school and drapes for a movie theatre that were 45' wide by 25' tall! I always seem to get BIG projects! Now I quilt and ME on much smaller projects! Linda

That's hard for me to answer because i sew only what i like or love sew right now it is my twirly quilt and all the coasters from Vicki i think there beautiful:):)hugs

I am most proud of my queen sized hand embroidered quilt. It took my about 3 years. Someday I will finish the 2nd hand embroidered quilt top and machine embroider the back, curtains and dust ruffle to go with it.

Mine would be the quilt I made for Alzheimers Auction in the name of my brother, Dad and Grandfather.

The most difficult project I've done is replacing the entire top of a wedding dress that a cleaners ruined. The pearls, etc that were on the dress melted in the cleaning product. I took it apart, used the pieces to recut a top.... then replaced the lace and hand sewed new pearls, sequins, and crystals. The bride was so pleased and thought it looked better than the original. BTW...I NEVER WANT TO DO THAT AGAIN.

When my mom was about 18 she had her picture taken wearing a flower necklace and a beige dress. My sisters daughter is the spitting image of our late mom so I went on the search for the dress. I could not find a dress in the late 50’s style that she was wearing. So I made one. I got the jewelry from my grandmother and took my niece to get pictures in the same pose as Mother. They turned out really well. Only problem is that I could not wait until Sis birthday to give them her so she got an early present. She cried.

My queen size quilt, it took me around two years to finish it. It has embroidery and FSL laces around done in eyeletfabric. It is somewhere in Cuties Project.

I think it was my wedding dress

I made my daughters wedding dress and going away suit, and was very proud of her on her big day. I also made my own dress for the occasion.

Most recently? The gift I made for SS recepient this last Christmas, lol! I liked it so much I made one for myself that is slightly smaller and a little different in the layout.

My Daughter's Wedding Gown.

Both my daughters wedding dresses - and bridesmaids. Recently it has to be my quilt for Uganda. Sarah.

I think it would be the wedding dress I made for a young friend. She had design in her head for years and could not find anything even vaguely like it so she described it and we made it. She was so happy with the result and so was her mother.

Lots of the costumes for High school plays.I was the "wardrobe" lady for 5 yrs.
All were very impressed with the 30 formal black bow ties for "Grease" .The hat for Mr. Bumble,from the play 'Oliver' I made from scratch.
Costumes for the Ballet girls were the hardest because they are "Prima Donnas" and pulled all the waists to the low hips and caused overall alterations.
The last minute panic costume changes were chaotic. And picking up and hanging for 60 odd teenagers,ready for the next show, was real exhausting. The boys were much tidier than the girls.
All the lovely bouquets, praises and hugs from the kids given at the end made it very satisfying.

When I was younger and my kids not very old we were on one wage and I repaired clothing for a dry cleaner. I had to learn to replace flies on gents trousers and it gave me the confidence to tackle anything. I also made fancy dress costumes for a hire place and it was interesting. Later when my girls went to calisthenics I would tackle costumes without hesitation. I now just like to sew for my family.

What I am working on now and almost through with a King sized scripture quilt. Nothing left to do now but the binding/Lillian
