Up-cycle t-shirts. This was two cheap shirts. I cut them up the sides and stitched them together across the bottom and the ends of the sleeves. Next I stitched the design on the front through both layers and then carefully cut through the top layer between the rows of stitching. Finally I stitched the sides and sleeves back up again.

That's a super idea.
I've got a couple of holes in my favourite T caused by the zipper I think. Husband just dumped an oldie with enough sound pieces and the right colour to use that in a similar way. I'll give it a try.
Nice design you made!!

I would love to shop with you, there are so many ideas in the stores and I get so caught up in looking at the garments to see how they were made, but can never remember when I get home. Should bring paper and pencil, I suppose. This is an "OUTSTANDING" project done so beautifully. You take the "CUTIE" award today! Thanks for sharing. Betty

Sue, what a great idea - gives you a warmer shirt and lovely detail. The same thing could be done - with just the material behind the design, too.
