Today's adventure in the hospital:
Went for my blood work today and get this, they give me a shot and say, "OK, see ya." so I asked what about the blood work, 2 nurses working together managed to give me a 2nd dose of the shot I had to get on Monday or I'd be screwed up again instead of blood work!!! Thank God it was not something I could have a problem from!!! The younger nurse who brought the shot to the other one who was the one who just gave me that shot 2 days ago was crying!!! I went in the other room and was hugging her and telling her it was OK!!!!
A person could die from this and I felt bad for them!!! A head nurse came in apologizing to me and saying that it wouldn't hurt me and of course we would not be billed for it and all.
So, the shot will just boost my white blood count a bit more and I will be fine.
They had called early today and asked if I could come in by 3 instead of 4:30 so they could try and get out of work early, this is what happens when the weather gets nice! Then I shopped for new curtains for the living room to try and make it look a bit better, hubby said he'd paint last Summer, the trial color can is still on the kitchen table!! If he doesn't get busy I am going to use it to paint one small wall and leave it that way! Of course the curtains will need hemmed, they were cheap though, I don't bother with quality for this house. The chair that has destroyed the curtains that are there now is going out with the trash next week! Come hell or high water I want the place fixed up a bit while I am here so he doesn't have so much to deal with when I am gone. I know it sounds morbid but I am just living reality. I was told last Christmas I had a 50% chance of being here next Christmas and 25% of making it to the next one. I am a fighter though so don't count me out just yet!
Hugs and flowers to you all! Debra
Here it is 4.00am and I need a little nap now.
There is something on the way to cheer you up a little. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts :o)

Was taking a little bit of sleep. Luckily Anna has not to get up cause we all have a gastrointensial virus (Felix first, then me and now that we both are better the rest is laying flat).
Hope you can sit relaxed in your chair and watch hubby painting...
Hugs, Bettina
Meri
A BIG hug to you!!

As far as the numbers... that is all they are. I am betting on YOU. Hang tough.
Debra do things you enjoy. If that is painting walls go for it if not leave it. Keep on posting. Getting things of your mind is good therapy. Hugs - Angie
I am glad that you are doing things that you want to do. I am a very firm believer that your frame of mind and your positive attitude makes a very big difference in your chances. Keep on being positive and DO the things that you ENJOY and WANT to do. Don't do it for you husband because he doesn't seem to care one way or another about what the house looks like -- do it for YOURSELF. Do it for YOU. We will be enjoying you here for years.
Mylinda
(I have no idea what that means....)
Have you addressed the paint issue all by itself and assign it a level of emotional priority? My husband gets very confused if I talk about too many things at once.. and he does none of them.
What would happen if you said how important it was for you to check the paint off your list.. and ask him to do it, since you are in so much pain.
