Shoe Fettish:
This quilt was made for a coworker's GD who is turning 21 today. He wanted only black fabric with shoes and hadbags as his GD loves them. She also works as a bartender to support her schooling. I snook in a couple of extras to add interest. Most of the designs you will recognise from DBC and some from Artistic Threadworks, and some others. Thanks to all the wonderful digitizers that give their designs free. I have not completed the quilting on it yet, I will do some more on it next month as I have to get it back to enter it into our guild quilt show. The quilt is 86"Lx77"W
I laid the quilt on a bed in the F store next door to my work.

Thank you, It is a pity some of the colours came out so pale in the picture. It was fun doing them in colours that I like but would not wear in real life. It is a little bit fanciful.

Thank you, I think it is better with the mixture. I love the 5 O' clock drinks, even though I don't drink. Actually I love all the designs.

What a wonderful job you did putting this quilt together!! Your coworker will be pleased, and I'm sure his daughter will be jumping for joy over it. Such a terrific birthday gift. (you must REALLY like your coworker a lot, to make such a large a lovely quilt for him.) Congratulations!

I know what you mean. The nice thing about doing them was that you could do them in coulours that you might never wear.

The young lady received her gift from her grandpa last evening and he showed me the pictures of when her and her grandma saw it for the first time. The looks were priceless. It makes it all worthwile when you see that look of appreciation when they see their gifts. It was also fun to see a grown man so excited, and giggling to himself as he thought about giving his gift he was like a little kid, and that makes all the long hours and hard work we do on our projects worthwhile.
