UK Cute Convention
Eggyannie (left), Scottie (right) and I met up for a coffee at the Sewing for Pleasure Show at the NEC (Birmingham UK) yesterday. I spent rather a lot of money (didn't find any $1 far quarters though!)and had a great time. Scottie is still recovering but I haven't heard yet from Annie.

Sorry I missed you all. I was being filmed knitting a square until 11.15, then went to where Subway was but couldn't recognise anybody and kept an eye open for someone with long hair the rest of the day. Have had a lovely time. Jan

we were the ones at the table in the front and i was in the wheelchair with the very bright patchwork bag on the back of it. MY daughter took the Photo annie in the uk
I needed this info before the show! I did see a lady in the show with long hair who was with a lady in a wheel-chair and I was waiting for her to call her by her name but there is only so long you can 'stalk' someone, but it could have been you and Sue! Jan

What fun. I wish there was someone near where I live to meet. But so far, I haven't met anyone from my area at all here. It sounds like lots of fun. I can imagine how three stitchers could have such a blast being let loose together in sewing show!!

oh lordy i look deformed and my boobs are not the huge, daughter assured me that photos taken on camer are not that good,and i was just licking my lips when my daughter took the photo. But we did have a good time around the sewing section of the show and came away with some nice ideas.
I am taking marianns quilt over today and she will now have her own "flower bed" and i bet that those flowers will be watered with a few happy tears. I for one am now looking forward to the next quilt show at malvern where i can get some more ideas. nice to see you again Sue and thank you for the many goodies you give us for free so kindly and you too Ann.

It was a brilliant day!!!!! It was really nice to meet eggyannie. I am really lucky because I live in the same village as Sue! She is my mentor on both machine and computer. Don't think I would have managed either without her. Thanks Sue

its cheaper to get tea outside or take your own as seating can be a big problem inside. catering vans are there and there is also a small outside cafe.ample free parking and if you book in advance then its much cheaper.there is also a camping ground for those with motorhomes. caravans or tents.
just remember to take a camera and to find time to look around the area.
