Hi Cuties Does anybody use Q&A embroidery thread and if so do you have problems with it? It comes in such lovely colours but i have heard it is not much good. cheers Betty

I like to use only 'trusted' brand threads.
My hard efforts must stay on the fabric too, after laundering too.
I had a bright orange thread run on my baby quilt before.
Buy the best thread you can, is my "motto"

I have quite a few spools of QA thread. Have been using it since about 2003, and towels, sheets and pillow slips I embroidered in 03 and 04 have been washed regularly and the colours are still beautiful and none of them have run. The only thing I have noticed about it is that sometimes it seems to unravel a little on the end when I am threading the needle but that is easily dealt with.
Cheers, Bev.

Thanks Bev, what brand machine do you have?
Both my machines are Janome, MC 200E and MC 5700. Bev.

This was the first embroidery thread I bought when I got my machine. I have a Brother and no matter what adjustments I made to the machine, it still hated this thread - it snagged or snapped so many times I wanted to throw my machine out the window. I went back to the dealer & she spent a couple of hours trying out different brands of thread to see what my machine liked, sadly Q&A didn't turn out to be one of them. Spotlight had all the sets including variegated so I was pretty disappointed I can't use it. :) xXx

I use QA thread in my Janomes 300E and 11000se - no problem. They are really cheap as well and do have lots of shades in their colours.
