Puppy Purse

Eggyannie asked me to try a little dog purse to go with the cat. This is my first draft. I used the concealed zip method as I didn't want to see a zip across his forehead!

Have you thought about making it a 2 hooping design and putting the zipper in the back. That way the face would be one piece. A bit more work. The design is cute either way.

I have tried it, but I'm not sure it is worth it. I really try to keep things simple.

Cute little face!! Actually, myself, I appreciate this type of design being done in one hoop. It is very convenient and he is so cute!! You did a great job! Hugs to you, Laura*

At least 1.5" wider than the dog as the metal parts have to be out of reach of the needle.

So cute and I like the twill type loop you made. Could see a mom putting a belt through and sending her kid to school with lunch money. The zipper keeping it safe inside.

Sue, you have such a good eye for detail and therefore I love your designs. Glad you did not stitch his ears as they are hard to turn on the kitty..Now please make him larger for a purse like your owl and cat. Thanks so much. einon

Thanks - I'd like to make the ears more defined, but I can't think how without making it impossible to turn neatly.

I like how you flip the fabric over the zipper. I can't remember seeing that in machine embroidery before. It's a terrific idea. It must require a lot of exact stitching... I love this little guy.
