Battenberg Angels - I tried 3 types of threads to do these angels. The design is from Sanity's Craft emb. The coral angel is made from 40 Wt rayon by Sulky, the middle variagated one is made of 30 Wt Triloboal Polyster from Signature, and the blue varigated is 40 wt varigated rayon from Admelody - all did up nicely, but the 30 wt is somewhat a thicker to the feel

All 3 are very preety, on closeup I like the glow of rayon best. Nice to see different threads close up. I can see the 30 wt looks denser. I've never tried 30 wt.

Yes - and I think I do like the blue one better, but I still have more to do. I need to replenish my angel box - to send out with my cards.

Oh - it will have to wait. LOL My GD is coming to spend some time with us, and we have a baby blanket to do for her youth pastor's new baby....LOL

Lovely angels. I like that you made multiples in a variety of threads. Colors, thread weight and fabrics/stablizers all make a difference in the way each design stitches out. And I bet if we were to get a look at them close up & in person, they would look even better. They are all beautiful!

Beautiful work and I love all the variations of threads you tried!! I twisted DH arms last night and he bought me this design.LOL I've made 3 so far and it's gonna be one of my favorite BB lace designs I've ever stitched. Thanks for sharing these beauties and your experience with different threads!

Don't you love it, and it stitches so nice, that I actually left the room, and did my dinner while the last one stitched. Can't do that too often.
