When doing some ITH projects that sew it together with a satin stitch such as coasters...hot pads...how can one avoid the stablizer from sticking out of the edges when you tear it off. I have seen so many beautiful projects done but I don't like seeing bits of stablizer. One puts so much into making these things that IMO I think it cheapens the entire project.

You can use badgemaster or vilene so it will just dissolve with a little water then there are no white fuzzy edges at all.

yes i know what you mean cause it happens to me .I try to cut close and sometimes i zig zag it on the reg. sewing machine if its bad .Also i use colored fabric markers and crayons lol .

I usually trim as close as I can. Then go around the edge with a matching colored marker. It helps to hide any little bits that remain. Susan

I use wss and only have to dab the edges with a damp cloth to remove the bits that I cannot trim away.

I do the same as CArolyn & I don`t think that it can be helped because if you use wss then you have nothing in the middle once it is washed,***********4ALL Hugs Loralye
