My very first attempt at making a teddy bear. He is from Embroidery-Outlet.com.
New site for me and I just had to have him. Also bought a rabbit, but he will have to wait until I have time.

Gorgeous! What is the fabric?

Its a fake fur.
Did that make it hard to turn through?
No it wasn't hard to turn through.
I made the 5x7 pattern, maybe it would be harder with the 4x4.

Love this teddy. It is one of those that you could just hug and squeeze and take every where.

I had never heard of Embroidery Outlet till you mentioned it. Very interesting. How long did this bear take you from start to finish? I think that it is just absolutely adorable. I love teddy bears!! My house is full of them. You did a great job here!! I have several bags of fake fur that needs to be used. I might have to look at the site again.... :)

It stitched out very quick. I have a large hoop and did the arms, legs, head and tail in one hooping. Then the body, ears and feet. The nose was in a hoop on its own. took a while to hand stitch together.
Is the hand stitching required or is this something that could be done by machine? I think you did a wonderful job!!!
Yes he has to be sewn together by hand.
Thanks

Absolutely beautiful. I wish I had the patience to make one. Well done - you should be very proud of yourself. Sarah.

How big a hoop did you use? I've got several of their ITH toy designs but not this teddy. I used a 5x7 hoop so had more hoopings than you. I found the openings could have been a little larger and as you say, there is still the usual amount of hand-sewing to put them together Lovely fabric. Jan
