Has anyone had there sewing machine while its sewing a pattern keep shutting down saying'"check thread"???

i cleaned it oiled it and theres nothing wrong???carolyn

Did you check your bobbin...mine did this once and I did everything and nothing..than I checked the bobbin, cleaned it and put a new one in and that was it, worked ok..hope that is it for you too.

Maybe your machine did not like that particular thread? I have had that and when I changed to another spool of close to same color, it worked fine. Hugs, Judy

Yes. It turned out I had a tiny bit of thread stuck in the upper tension dial because I'm naughty and remove my thread backwards instead of cutting it off and pulling it through the needle when I change colours. baah :) xXx

Yes. I agree with some of the others...doesn't like that thread. I find some spools don't glide into the machine very well. Try slowing your stitching speed down a little, maybe that will help.

Check to see if there is a caught thread in the tension spring.
