That is adorable! I would have found a place for it in my kitchen, even if not as a wall hanging. Maybe a table center piece. I guess it just shows you never know what other people are thinking. I would not be ashamed to give that as a gift to another person who would appreciate it more if you chose not to keep it for yourself.

they look beautiful. I have had my sister do this to me. with a table runner, 6 placemats and napkins. Her lost I will not make her anything else. too much work and love goes into these things to be unappreciated.

What a shame that your great gift went unappreciated. Perhaps you could donate it to a worthy charitable cause for a raffle, or even sell it privately. You may never know why your friend declined it. People are quirky, and I'm sorry your friend caused you pain. Your gift was very well-made and thoughtful.

well, some people are so picky!! There's a very old saying about their wanting to be hanged with a new rope - no satisfying them! It's adorable - more loss to her! This will put a damper on the friendship though, won't it. Sorry that happened.
