Quick question: I just want to dble check when sewing on jersey t-shirts you use tear away on the bottom & wss on top? One of each layer is this right?

unless you want to pick pieces of tearaway off the top I think it would be better to use wss on top layer.

I use a fusible cut-away mesh on the back and a film type wash-away on the top (so the stitches don't sink). I don't hoop anything - for t's I use a washaway sticky and stick the shirt with the fusible to it and then sew.

I would not use tear away on the bottom you use mesh and cutaway. That gives the material more stability so it won't sink into the fabric and you end up with a hole in the jersey no telling what size. Been there done that. Sometimes experience is the best teacher. You do use WSS on top. Good luck! Roberta You can also hoop it with no problem.
