As requested the picture : I minimalized the design I used on my towels; First I tried it on a coaster (70%) which was ok. Then on the washcloth (50%). But this result is less good... -look closely- I know one once told me to not decrease too much..but children don't always listen do they ? :-) Thks for looking. By-the-way I just love this design ! It stiches so nicely and easily; it's from Amazing Embroidery Designs

the 70% looks good but I agree with the 50% to small did you try 60% on another washcloth? Good luck with the % you will work it out and remamber to take a note in your embroidery workbook about it for reference.
