neat idea,
Is this sticky tape or glue strips or what that you fold the towel over. I see there is writing, but I can't read it. I really like this idea and would like to try it sometime. I too would like you to put the pattern on DBC again with your step by step instructions. Thank-you.
The tape is double sided so you bring the face cloth edges over the template to make the shape of the bag. scroll down and find stage 2, then go to stage 3.
The patern I made a shape of a bag then folded a piece of card in half copied my shape onto this, cut it out and opened it out and there is your template.

I made these for charity and people buy them as gifts and I always put soap in them, hence the name soap handbag, also I guess if you put a nice smelly soap in that would be a good idea to put with your clothes. X

Love the idea but here in CANADA everyone is using liquid soap.But i was thinking put some smell in it to make your bathroom smell lovely???hugs and thanks carolyn

Cute idea. I guess I'm a bit lost. Is it meant to be just decorative or taken apart and used as a washcloth and a bar of soap. I understand the idea of using a scented soap and putting it in your closet but wasn't sure if that is the intended idea or not.

Lori...I think they are to be used however people see fit. Some take them apart, some use them as decoration or as smellies, as long as they enjoy them. X

Just when I think that just about everything creative has already been done, I find something else, made out of everyday objects, that just surprises me. This is awesome!! What a great idea. I can see how it would work great for charity, since the idea is splendidly simple, yet beautiful!!

Interesting. So you don't cut the washcloth, you just fold it up with the soap and carry it like a purse! Would be a good idea for campers.

This looks lovely. I made some several years ago but used tiny safety pins for the handle to look like a chain. The ribbon is probably a better idea.

I was given one of these (no embroidery) some time ago. Mine has a verse printed onto a sticky label attached.
