I always take pictures of the finished creation. I also keep a journal of who recived what.

I admit, I will probably be the odd duck. I do not keep a record of what I make. I do not have a business and we move frequently so my creations are new and different to our potential new friends.

I am not much of a photographer, but I snap a pic with my cellphone, especially for something unique. Not every towel or burpie, but I do some custom work and I like to show it to friends that are in other areas. My daughter is in TX and loves to see the things I do, and it spurs orders from others! I like to send them to my e-mail and then save them. I have put them into folders of work done, but I don't make it a priority. Some lovely things have slipped by with no photo, so I try harder now. I take a picture of all my creations in embroidery, and now also of knitting.
But I have not the list of what I had post on Cute. last year, there was here a place to click called "my projects"

I keep my record here, and I have pics of ones I do not post. Never enough time! I do have a running lists, where I spent design $$$, projects instruction link, stuff like that! Live Laugh Download Stitch!

When I can remember to take a picture before I give it away, I do. But I don't take pictures of the same thing just with a different design..unless it's really unusual. I do have them on my computer as well as backup external drive.

I take a picture of most of the things I sew. Not all of it is posted on the site. Only the good things are posted (he he), or things which give me problems and so I need assitence from a cutie.

I try to take a picture of most of the things I embroidery on. Have to admit a few do escape though. I also have set up a spreadsheet of all the embroidery patterns I download, where it came from, what size it is in ect. This comes in very handy when I look at a pattern and can't remember if I have it or not.

I started out taking pictures of what I do as people have told me in the past that they did some type of craft and didn't take pics. of the finished product and later we annoyed with themselves. I also am taking pics. as I have a daughter living in another country and this way when she comes home (usually once a yr. - been almost two this time) I'll be able to show her what I've done - she's never actually seen anything I've embroidered yet.

I take pics of most projects but some do slip by if I'm in a hurry to get it out the door.

Embroidery is my hobby and I take a picture if I want to upload the project I have made.

For easy retrieval of my uploaded projects, I have created a spreadsheet in Excel, with upload date, picture, url and some notes. It works for me.

Not always possible but I also try to keep pictures, some of which I load here on Cute. A question from my side, if I may, how many of the cuties have never posted a project and what would be reason, if any?

thanks you all for your ideas & this is what I have learned I think that if I had of done one of these before then it would be alot easier after the brain surgery for me!Ah well LIVE & LEARN. Boy am I thankful for all of you!

I wish Ihad kept some sort of record but alas no, I even forget some of the things I have done. Saw something on my daugters table a while back and said"I can do that" Daughter said " Mother you did do that". Guess you call that old age. lol Lillia

I keep track of the "good' things, the everyday things not so much.

Oh I photograph my creations unless its a repeat item... I do enjoy looking back at some of my earlier creations and how far I have come lol..
