The day Olly got Polly.

Seems like I've been elected to write this up, so where do I start?
I was going to spend the day (Wednesday) with Polly (Nonna57) and thought how great it would be if I could get Coral (Olly) to finally meet Polly.
You see Polly had been talking to Olly long before Olly met up with me in the hospital so Polly kept saying, Sheesh, I haven't even met her yet!
So Olly and I decided to first meet up in the car park of the local Pub nearest to Polly's place, but what would we do?
We agreed Olly would follow me in her car and wait until I got inside Polly's then she would come knocking on the door pretending to be doing a survey or whatever.
So we arrived at Polly's and I went inside, while Polly noticed the other car pull in and park a little further up the road. Then I watched on as Polly kept an eye (through the window) on this stranger walking down the footpath outside.
Next Thing the doorbell rang and the conversation went something like this....
Olly: I was wondering if you could help me please?
Polly: Of course.
Olly: Could you tell me where number 22 is?
Polly: Of course, it's just across the road.
Olly: Could you show me please?
Polly: mumbled something I didn't hear, but obliged by stepping out around the trellis that is in front of her front entrance.
Polly: See, there it is just across the road there, but it looks like no one's home.
Olly: Could you take me there please, I might get lost.
By now I could almost feel Polly thinking; How stupid is this woman?
But she went to lead her sort of...
Then Olly said: Is your name Polly, Pauline?
And THEN the penny dropped!!!
OH if only I had grabbed the video camera!!! I don't know when I have laughed so much! I wish you all could have been there to see Polly's reaction. What a HOOT!
After that we spent the most fantastic day together and I think there was hardly a moment went by when we weren't laughing.
Polly, Olly and I became the Three Stooges for the day!
Thank you Polly for the lovely day, the fabulous home cooked lunch (especially the beetroot) and for being the great sport you are.
Now I'm going to upset the apple cart and put up all three photo's the next door neighbour took for us. Wicked evil person that I am. :-)))
