I was curious, for those who digitize their own designs, what software do you use?

I have a bernina 6 as well. It is the only one I know but I find it a great program. I still discover every time new things you can do with it.

I use Design Shop Pro Plus from Melco and just bough Wilcom Level 3 a few weeks ago during a 'great' sale they had.

A lot of people really like Embird and it is a lot cheaper than most of the programs so you might want to look at it. They have a 30 day free trial period. There are a lot of Yahoo Groups you can join for help. There are also many tutorials you can get for Embird.

There is one that only costs $14.95 for the shipping but you must be connected to the internet to use it. Take a look at 'My Embroidery Mentor' so you can read about it. The program is 'Stitch Era Universal' The website is: http://www.myembroiderymentor.com/.

Let us know what you choose.

I use DigitizerPro2. It's a Janome product. I got a great deal from my dealer years ago but the upgrade to 3.0 is too much. If I was in the market now I would check out Wilcom as they write the software for DP and Artista, it would be the most compatible for all formats.

I am very new to digitizing and have been using Paint Shop Pro, an old version, PE Design and more recently Digitizer Exjr from Elna. All were given to me by a friend when she bought Creative Drawings..She is doing great stuff with Creative, and I must say I am very chuffed at what I have done with my "oldies", guess they're like me....hugs Christine, Johannesburg
