Rose design from Cathy de France, Doily border from Martine (Mops). I have split and duplicated the oval doily design by Martine, to accommodate the wide rose design. The resulting doily is now 466mm wide by 195mm. It isn't perfect, but may be I will do it better next time.

Oh Lidia, your doily is so beautiful. You did a marvelous job stitching this out. How large is your hoop (stitching area measurements)? Thanks so much for sharing your photo. You do wonderful work.

Thank you, Laffma! My largest hoop is 360x200mm but I have used the 260x200mm and have embroidered this doily in two hoopings, first one side, then the other side, trying to match them as closely as I could. Hugs, Lidia

I thought if I found where 'it isn't perfect', as you said ,that I would win the doily(ha,ha) Well I brought it up close and I see nothing wrong. It looks centered, stitching looks good and colors are marvelous. I love it-Toogie

Hehehe.... Sorry to disappoint you, Toogie, there is nothing to be won. The two parts are not well centered, the stems should not touch the leaves in the centre. The satin border isn't perfect either in the centre (my wrong doing) but I'm happy that you like the doily, thank you. Hugs, Lidia

What a surprise to see this picture again. Thank you for your comment, Kerry. I love Katy's designs too and bought that rose set four years ago when my hubby's niece was about to marry and my hubby wanted me to embroider a tablecloth and napkins for her. I was terrified by the task as I had never embroidered a tablecloth before, so I started embroidering a couple of doilies first, to get some practice. These designs were done by Lidia 7 years ago. Lidia does not visit Cute Embroidery very much these days.
