My first finished quilt!! I used a jelly roll and did the blocks randomly. Hard work but good fun!!

Yes....my plan is to get someone with a long arm to do the quilting!! ;-). I'm working on a very large embroidered quilt but fortunately that one is quilt-as-you-go!!

I am afraid, I don't know what a jelly roll is.Did you quilt by hand? It looks very nice, something you should be proud of._Toogie

Hi Toogie, thank you for your comments! A jelly roll consists of (usually) between 40 and 50 strips of fabric, about 2.5 inches wide, which is then cut down and sewn together any way you like!! I did the top quilting by machine and finished the binding off by hand.

Thank you! I just sewed the strips together, cut them into blocks and picked them up and sewed them together...totally random!

The Latte Quilt is lovely and you will enjoy it when it is finished - I never have - but have seen many that have been made up.

Thank you!! I used 48 strips out of a 50 strip jelly roll so yes, it was a fairly big roll!
