they are in Quebec and I compared their prices yesterday with Allstitch and they are very comparable. The shipping should be cheaper and buying in Canada you will save the duty tax. We are three friends who buy 100 yard rolls and split our purchases, much cheaper than any of our embroidery stores in the area, 1/3 of the price.

I also get stabilizer at All Stitch. I THINK their site is allstitch.net, not com. I have gotten the soft tear away & love it. It tears away clean, so great for the puppets, peg covers, etc. They do ship all over. There is where we go together to get the large order so we save shipping in the US. They are located in Baltimore, MD so shipping to TN is fast!!

Allstitch is the place for me. I have loved everything I have ever ordered from them. It is all high quality. I use Madiera thread so Allstitch is a one stop shopping spree for me.

You should try ebay Canada. Browse around and find the bargains.

BFC-Stash sells good qualitty embroidery thread and have very good prices and service.
They have their own line of thread now.
They started with Polyester and will faze in Rayon over time.
They also have Metallic thread.
they have a line of Veriagated Rayon thread too.

You can buy individual mini cones or buy sets of thread in various colors and in all the types of thread.

I use rayon and was buying Admelody Rayon from them before they brought in their own line of thread.
So I am waiting for them to bring in the Rayon.

They use their own thread in all the designs they digitze and sell to the public at their BFC Creations Website.
Right now they have a sale on that if you buy thread and spend so much they are giving free design sets away.

They also have Conversion charts for converting from many of the popular brands to their thread and these can be downloaded for free at the BFC-Stash Website.
I haven't heard of any complaints about their new thread and many of the girls that belong to their Yahoo Groups really seem to like it.

If you are in Canada and buy thread or any other supplies from vendors in the USA then have it shipped via United States Postal Service as that is the cheapest shipping available.

Also if you buy thread from the USA there is no Duty Fees on thread at the USA/Canadian Border. There may be a small Customs fee but not usually.

I like to buy when our Canadian dollar is high in comparison to the US Dollar!

For Madeira and Robinson Anton Thread the Brother mall has very good prices.
Both brands come in polyester and rayon.

I buy my stabilizer from various places.
One place to look at is World Weidner.
They have specials during the month on certain items.
They sell stabilizers in various sized rolls and also pre cut squres in various sizes.

I purchased a roll of Badgemaster Water Soluble Stabilizer from them last year.
Shipping to Canada took about 10 days.

My two cents worth is www.discountembroiderythread.com. They have great pricing and free shipping. Also if you have never tried Floriani thread, be sure and do. I have lots of different brands, but after using some of his, will never buy another brand again. Absolutely gorgeous colors and sheen!

I usually get my stablizer from JoAnn Fabrics. Usually buy the bolt with a 50% off coupon. Wal-Mart also has some reasonably priced stablizer. I'm happy with it. I'm not a fan of buying on-line unless I absolutely have to.
