Question of the Day?: Ok, Ladies, here is my question - My internet is down today, and I have called my daughter to place my question over the phone. How far would you go to make sure that you don't miss your daily's and what would you do to prevent it if you didn't know that it was a temporary thing?

I try very hard to get my dailies but sometimes things happen and I can't. I try not to get to upset. Hugs & Stitches, Liz

my computer was down 2 days last week with a bad virus
(look out for anything stating Windows Live update) it took my son 4-5 hours to get rid of this bad boy. Lucky for me I used my DH computer but I admit I miss my computer when it is down.

Do you mean that you got a virus from the regular Windows update?

Is Windows Live different?

It showed up on my screen as windows advanced security center and took over my computer. Only thing I could do was shut her down and wait for my son the pro. He says this one is a bad one so anything suspicious with window, be careful

Sometimes I miss one just because I forget.... sometimes it doesn't download right.... I used to get really upset but in the great scheme of things .... it doesn't matter to me that much anymore. Of all the alphabets I have one or two missing from several of them.
OH WELL! :)

Go to my sister's or my brother's with my trusty thumb drive and use their computer. Go to McDonald's and use their free wyfi (I've done all of these when the internet was down). I'm hoping to pick up another inexpensive netbook soon to have as a back up, as my son's laptop won't be here forever...

I've phoned my hubby and had talked him through doing dailey d/l, but sometimes only get 1 out of 3. And then when we were away I had my daughter do it and she forgot a few times and also had problems at first. I try, but if some letters get missed, oh well. Most of the time if I am spelling a name, I'll use one letter from different alphas to make up the name! That way I can actually make use of more alphas and others get to see what some of them are like.

Have had my daughter d/l for me before I got a mobile internet stick, which I now take along with my laptop when going away. I now know I won't miss any more daily's. Shirley

With my DH in hospital, I have missed some letters that I really like. I will vote for them, but if they don't come in, I hope to, one day, be able to afford buying membership and will then get those as well. ****
