Okay, got my own Q o the day-What are some of you pet peeves with digitizers? One of mine is that they do not take the time to name each one,ie, just calling them free, or 1,2.

actually, I don't have any pet peeves with digitizers. The designs are a gift to us, so if they don't have the design, we can always name it ourselves.

In my opinion, the fact that they give these to us free negates any pet pev we may have

When you download and save a design you can add a name to the design name the digitzer gave it.
for instance if the designs name is free.pes you could add Free flower.pes and then save it.
Or add the name of the digitzer so you know where you got it.

I am always grateful for the free designs I download from digitzers as that gives me the chance to test the design and see how the digitzer digitzes designs.

I would prefer a jump stitch instead of stitching over the design but I am grateful for any free designs and will keep unpicking

Started an answer at least 4 times. Just let it be known that I also am grateful for designs given freely. Change my ? to why can't they type in duck instead of free when it takes the same time. Perhaps no one ever let them know .

The only "pet peeve" I have is ..... I wish I could do what they do, I am sooooooo envious. :) When I download one of their designs this is how I save it (example): 5x7 bag w zip by sue.pes or finger puppet elephant by mops.pes - that way I know exactly what it is and who gave it, makes it easy when I am trying to find something specific. And if for some reason I can't remember what site that digitizer is with I have a database with all the digitizers name and the site they are at. Hope that helps anyone out there that isn't sure how to file theirs away.

No Pet peeves from me. I admire and am in awe of those who have learned the skill of digitizing. God Bless them all

At first I saved designs with the name they were given and put them in designer-files, e.g. CuteEmb or EmbLib. Now I save them with a new name in subject- files, e.g. animals or flowers. And I choose names like FP-dog-Sue followed by the number given (in this case in DBC). That way I can always do a search for the type (fingerpuppet), subject (dog) or the designer/website. I just have to remember my abbreviations - i have a list to help me but I'm prefer managing without having to consult it.

Why do I always leave s.t. In that does not belong when I'm rewording a sentence? It should of course read: I prefer

Hehehe - I will add a name - if the one they give doesn't suit me - so I can find it in a search later on - if need be.
