Sorry I cannot answer your question, 'cause I haven't tried a wing needle myself. But I would like to Welcome you here in this Cute place with a lot of people who will help you and probably answer your questions.

The wing needle is used for heirloom embroidery,and what is called entredeux is a fine hem usually tone on tone the needle leaves holes as it sews you can only use with certain stitches for wing needle,be careful the needle must not touch the foot,I dont think I have answered the question properly but I hope it helps..

The wing needle is used for heirloom embroidery It leaves holes as it sews entredeux is a fine hemstitch done with a wing needle usually tone on tone you must check that the needle will not touch the foot,I have not answered your question properly but I hope it helps..

Using a wing needle is like using any other needle., it has to do with the stitch you use.
berny is quite correct. The winged needle is used for doing heirloom work., so as long as you choose an heirloom stitch (varies on each machine) and I suggest using fine thread, you will end up with a beautiful result.
