Am I the first one to mention that it is 100 years today that Titanic hit an ice burg and sunk 2 hrs 40 mins later on the 15th. April? My grandmother lost a friend on that day so I grew up with a lot of knowledge of that great ship. I have been watching many wonderful programs that have been on television for the past week. It still gives me goose flesh when I think of all those lives lost in freezing water. Sarah.

I think it is not necessary to mention (at least not where I live) last week(s) there were SEVERAL documentaries and talk shows and blablabla.. in the beginning it was interesting, but now.. they even showed the movie Titanic again on TV.. by now I think we all know it will sink. They even re-make the movie in 3D ! I like history facts, but for me too much is too much.

things like the Titanic & 911 are tragedies that need to be remembered if only to realize how precious all of our lives are! I'm sorry that your grandmother lost someone then it must be painful for her to re-live this

I enjoyed the documentaries. I liked the ones that showed what they salvaged from the bottom, the dishes and even leather shoes and bags. Also it was interesting watching the lives of the ordinary, mostly poor on the Titanic. Soon it will all be gone.

My DH is totally fascinated with the Titanic history. Today is his birthday so he gets to do whatever he wants,so he is watching something on the discovery channel about it. Tonight there is something else he wants to see. It's amazing what they have found and discovered. Hugs..Carol
