Well Cuties...Color me STUPID!! I read other Cute comments about using Firefox instead of Explorer to try to avoid the dreaded Smart Fortress Trojan at Embroidery Passbook..So, first thing I did was open Firefox and go to Embroidery Passbook...and BOOM!!! I was attacked AGAIN with the Smart Fortress Trojan...STUPID, STUPID, STUPID ME!!! Unfortunately, now I have to reload the XP operating system on my computer and start from scratch. MY BAD!! Please Cuties, take heed and watch out!!! Windows Explorer or Firefox...doesn't matter. Hope at least one will learn from my STUPIDITY!!! I knew better and I did it anyway...STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!

Yup, I just wish I would have listened to that little voice that says "Warning Will Robinson!!!" Oh, I think I just dated myself...some Cuties may not know what that means....

Sorry for what happened to your computer. I don't know Firefox but I have Explorer, which is part of Microsoft operating system and it gives a very basic, limited protection against viruses and trojans. As an anti-virus program, I have bought Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012, and it's this program that protects my computer and refuses to open suspect websites, and warns about them. Thanks for the info...I have McAfee and Ioio System Mechanic both running for virus and spyware/malware...I guess I need to look at another...
It's not a good thing to have more than one anti-virus program in your computer, as there could be conflicts. Un-install one and keep only one running and updated. You know that you have to pay yearly to have it updated.

You may still have been infected.
Installing Firefox does not remove the infection. You need to remove it COMPLETELY, first.
Doing a system restore also does NOT remove it.
Please read everything that is written in the link provided and how you could have infected your computer.

Copy and paste if link does not work.
You have to pay for this I loaded it and than asked for nearly 30 dollars after the scan to clear it up.

There has been just too many that say Embpassbook,for it to be coincidence.
I use Avast security (free), but I am definitely not going to this one site, even if it is not their fault !!! Shame!!

I would be mortified if this was happening on my site, I really hope Glen can get this sorted out somehow. I really feel for him. It is such hard work to manage a website then to have it infected by something would be devastating. The lousy thing is, if there is a virus on the site it would have been put there by some mischief maker and I still don't understand what such people have to gain when they do such things.

I don't know as they are aware of the magnitude of the problem. I emailed them, asking to be removed from the mailing list because of the virus problem I've encountered myself. They responded, and my ISP flagged their email as a possible virus. I would call them thoroughly infected at the moment. Good luck with the rebuild!!
