Well call me slack and give me a whack! :-)

Friday here was a special day for two Cuties who made the effort to meet up for the first time.
Helen (Moyed) came down, all the way from Tamworth, to meet yours truly at Charlestown Square Shopping Centre, near Newcastle.
I must add, this is no mean feat because Tamworth is good four and a half hours drive from Charlestown and to come down just for the day would be so tiring.
So, when I say this meant a great deal to me, you know it is an understatement.
Helen's Husband came with her and my Ray went with me and when we met up we started on a very sweet note, having pancakes with Maple Syrup, cream and Ice Cream, followed by the best coffee I have had in years. Of course Helen behaved and had Quiche Lorraine with salad and low calorie chips (fries to most of you :-)), which she followed up with a totally decadent Iced coffee, topped with lashings of whipped cream, (low calorie of course. LOL!)
After this breakfast feast we started browsing the shops, looking at anything and everything, while getting to know each other better. I now know Helen loves fresh squeezed juice, and Helen now knows I'd rather have PepsiMax. Who's addicted to caffeine? hehehehe!!
We had a fabulous day together but next time we'll ditch the men, now that THEY both know their wives are safe because neither of us are axe murderers! LOL!!!
I sure did enjoy our time together, we have so much in common and I'm looking forward to our friendship growing, despite the miles between us.
Now here's the fun part.
1) Helen, totally engrossed in shopping.
2) The long and short of it (I was tickling Helen to get her to laugh).
3) Talk about being outgrown! Ray, Shorty, Helen & John.
Truly lovely folk and I thank you both most sincerely for making such a huge trip to come down for the day.
