I took Rick out for a Sub Wed. lunch (afternoon) - he enjoyed the trip. It was the first and only time he has left Hospice in three weeks he has been there.
He has been in pain most of today (Thursday) more than normal - hope it wasn't the food. My brother brought him a plate for supper too.
He has been on morphine for about a week now.

He is so thin. He nods off sometimes but he is still alert - can talk about any subject with full comprehension.
Thank goodness.

Thank everyone for the prayers -
I am thankful for what we do have - his alertness and that he can eat some now!!!
You can't imagine how it makes me feel to know that people all over the world care about him -
and that there are people who have reached God with their prayers.
- only a week ago or so - he was not able to eat at all - and was very discouraged.
Thank you so much!!

He is a very strong person - doesn't complain - except when the pain is very severe -
and he has a good attitude.
DeVon, you know how hard it is to watch your loved one suffer.
Pray I can be strong for him and for myself!!

Sunday........ update:

Devon,

They told us today that he has 2 days at most - took at turn for the worse Saturday - That is so sad - he is still able to recocnize us and talk to us but he is getting weaker. I stayed with him all eveing and my husband is with him now.
