You can Highlite with a control A in word, or double click on a name. Don't know if this is what you were wanting, but maybe it will help. Hugs, judy

if you have the menu bar that has the choices
file edit favorite tools help (or similiar)
on it---go to edit and it should have a choice of select all, choose that and it will highlite the whole page.

Here's another way. Hold down left mouse button, highlight, while still holding the left mouse button down use your down arrow and it will continue to highlight. There are several ways,so now you can find what works best for you. Hugs..Carol

You can also press shift holding it, and work with the arrows in your keyboard. :)

It depends on what you are trying to highlight. Are you trying to move files from one area to another? That is just one of many possibilities. Anyway, if that is what you are doing, then click the first file to highlight, and then go to the last file in the group that you want to highlight. Hold down "shift" and then left click on the last file. It will highlight a group of files, which can then be dragged and dropped to a predesignated location.
Don't you wish computers came with instruction manuals? Imagine how much they would weight!! Most likely more than the computer!!!
If this isn't what you were looking for, then perhaps you could use an example which would be easier to answer. Hang in there!!

I usually go to Edit select all if I want every thing selected. But there would be a shorter cut for sure. Trust me to go the long way round. Shirley

I use Ctrl A on the keyboard!

Ctrl A is what to use to highlight the whole page;
But some times it won't let you swipe stuff and copy to word to keep a copy for yourself, or you don't want what is on the surrounds of the page.
so the trick is to Start at the wording of the page and use the right mouse hold.
Also in word you can then delete some of the pics or make them smaller for printing. I do this for lots of projects or knitting patterns you can edit to have way less pages.

Btw I have an old diary next to me and in it i have all the computer stuff that my kids explain.Some are stuck in notes that I paid pocket money for them to give me written instructions. "'Bribery"..LOL..

I often use Screen Capture 'PrtScnSysRq' on the top right hand side of your keyboard and then 'Paste as new Image' in Paint or Paint Shop Pro which I have.
It can then be edited/cropped...resized etc.

Click on the first item (goes blue) then hold down the "Shift" button (which is on the left - just above the Ctrl Button on your keyboard)until you Click on the last item and the whole lot should go blue. You can then copy or move. Does this make sense? If not just send me a pm
