Question of the Day: Are any of you planning on making something nice for that special lady in your lives for MOTHERS DAY? & If sew what are you thinking of making? I am looking for ideas too!

My Mom died 30 years ago, so my thoughts will just fly to her more often on Mother's day. But as I am a Mother, it is my day to spoil my kids too with a little something. I thought I would make FSL crosses or St Christopher cozies to attach to air fresheners for their cars. and for the 2 Grand kids, cute designs to put over travel towelettes for use in the car. Made and given on Mother's Day I will honour and love my Mom in this way. It is also a reminder in the car of GOING TO NANA's. This Nana never gets enough of her grandkids. Christine Johannesburg

She looks down and loves us even now. Christine Johannesburg

Thanks for the question. Mothers day has passed already in the UK. My daughters gave me some lovely flowers and one cooked a fantastic meal. My mother died just over two years ago and she enjoyd whatever she was given

My mom will be 80 this summer, and has no need of anything else to dust around, or perfume, or other things. Last year, I wrote her a letter, about all the things that i learned from her--things like being a hard worker, how to be a mom, to know God, etc. She treasures that letter. What about an embroidered card with a special letter inside?

Mom and Mother in Law no longer with us here.....so I let our kids pamper me.....It won't be anything sewn or emb. because I'm the one that does that...most likely a gift certificate so I can buy more emb. supplies! hooray for me! :)

My mom passed away over 20 yrs. ago. and my first hubbies mom is still around, but she doesn't care if she hears from me - I finally gave up with her, but still treat her good when she here.
My kids all make sure they wish me a happy M day and I get cards from 2 (one lives in Barbados and gives me a call). Even my wonderful DIL calls (sometimes before my son can - hehe). Occassionally they get me a little something. And I usually get flowers and a card from hubby. So----I'm never sure just whats going to happen.
