Its Story time:):)

Remember way back when ***we had little indoor plumbing and the bath room was out side??Now come on i am telling my age now lol
When we used the facilities what did we use Toilet paper ??No ,it had not been invented yet so we all used the old"sears Catalog" so now Vicki has put this in picture form for me isn't it cute??
Now please go and enjoy your indoor plumbing lol hugs Carolyn

Me too, Carolyn, my Dad brought some back and I used to try to fit into them and walk around..very uncomfortable, even as a kid, but I didn't care, I thought they sounded cool when I walked...

Amen, sister, we used these when we used to camp as kids & I used to get a headache holding my breath..LOL!
by bevintex 21 Apr 2012
They had these in state parks and as a kid I was always afraid I would fall in. Or a big hairy spider was lurking in there. Or both!

Heard stories from my mom about slopping the pigs. They had a porcelain chamber pot with a lid they used when they couldn't go to the outhouse. My girlfriend showed me a picture of a double docker outhouse her uncle built and he built a double toilet one. Such humor. lol I'm glad I grew up with inside plumming. Was at a park and the outhouse was just a hole in the floor. Went back to the car and had my DH drive me to a proper restroom. lol Lots of memories for us.

Thanks for sharing the design great piece of work and memories. I had a time line of the outdoor privy use moments and some good tales I could tell. One of which mouse ready to share a pant leg... needless to say it was a outdoor show. lol. Just one of those things in life to strenghten me to be who I am today! I still squeal if I see mouse.lol.
