Alas Cuties another question about Needles..I am looking at Organ Needles for my machine embroidery in a variety of sizes..but, do you use the regular 15X1 or the 15X1ST (large eye) ones? Don't know if I need the large eye for regular 40wt threads...need your input please :) Thanks!

Hi, I'm able to use the Organ needles on my brother machine - and in fact sometimes I think they last longer on FSL! I just buy the regular eyes. the 15x1. I use the size 11 for FSL and really for almost everything.

I use the Organ Titanium needles. Mostly the 15X1, sharp 11 for fsl and light fabrics. I use the 11 ballpoint for t-shirts. I thought the large eye needles were mostly for metallic threads or heavier weight threads. I got a super good price at AllStitch a few months ago on the 15X1 size 11 sharp needles. Hugs..Carol

Many use the large eye ones for metallics. I guess you might want them if you were doubling your thread or using a thicker one than usual as well.
