These are 4 leaves from the Prayer Plant from Pam's 3D Designs. Take no notice of the wire as it will be covered with Florist Tape. I am really pleased with the finished leaves. Have to make more to finish the plant off.

I love these leaves. This will become a plant you can't kill like I often do. LOL
Really detailed. Thanks for sharing.

They look amazingly real life. How do you place the wires as you stitch?

The last stitch you place the wire alongside the middle and it satin stitches over the wire. This frightened me before I did it but had no problems with it and no broken needles.
by capoodle 23 Apr 2012
Thank You. They stitched out well for you.

I love indoor plants, but my house is too cold in winter and also too dark.

The leaves look real, lovely colours too. I see you mirrored one, that makes it look slightly different. Nice work! What material did you use to stitch them on?

BTW they are called ten-commandements plants overhere.

Martine, I might have just had it upside down when I scanned the leaves Another reason why it is so dark. I just used some tearaway but it is suggested to use Polymesh.

Lyn, these are wonderful - just the sort of plant - that I could have in my basement apartment - that gets no light - can't wait to see it totally finished, too.

My house is old and reasonably dark so find it hard to grow indoor plants and these are tropical. Also have a girlfriend who has gas and she can't grow plants inside either.

Great work and very similar. You need very many leaves to make a complete plant, not to mention the mounting. Good luck. Friendships.

The leaves are all the same only different sizes. Not sure how many leaves needed, but guess this is up to you how many you put in to make a plant.

I looked at these ages ago but hesitated as the wire part frightened me, but that was no problem at all.

These turned out really nice! How long does it take to do each leaf? Denise

In this group you do the 4 together in one hooping (5 X 7). I really didn't time it but it doesn't take very long at all. The larger leaves 2 in one hoop and the medium size there are 3 in the one hoop.
