I need a little laundry help. I need to get tree sap out of washable wool pants. I usually wash them in cold water and hang them to dry but that won't get sap out. Yes, that was my son out there on Earth day chopping down trees to get his sawyering certification for his fire fighter career. A bit ironic and now I'm going to use a lot of water washing those pants.

I'm thiniking of trying the hand sanitizer before the oil. The oil will be another problem to remove.

ice the sap, sometimes it will then roll into balls that can then be scraped off. Ice works on bubblegum too.

I USE A PRODUCT CALLED GOOGONE..IT REALLEY WORKS..TOOK SAPE OUT OF MY CARPET AND I TRIED EVERTHING...LUCY

I have used GooGone on scrap book paper and it did not leave any residue. Good luck.

I too have used GooGone. It is excellent and can be used on laundry. It removes gum, price stickers, paint, ect. When we moved in to our new home 10 years ago. Our shower had adhesive on it and would not come off. I used this about 8 years later. Every bit come off. Good luck to you. Peg.

I have Goo Gone. It doesn't say you can't use it on wool. Maybe I'll try it on an inside seam first.

I would use Eucalyptus Oil it gets chewing gum and alsorts of other nasty things off clothing, carpets etc., and after all they put it in wool wash and washing soap. Most supermarkets and chemist sell it here in Australia, I'm assuming you could get it where you are. Have even used it recently to get paint pen off the granddaughters new top and it came up like brand new again.
